The MoSDA Mission

Special districts, fellow local governments, and business partners supporting the Alliance's mission receive regular updates on developments related to our mission; resources for direct advocacy and public awareness; and networking opportunities with fellow district leaders in their area and across the state.

More than 1,800 special districts altogether improve quality of life for more than 6 million Missourians, delivering a broad range of critical infrastructure and essential services across - many in ways that go unseen. These districts are the most local of local governments, community-led, and accountable to their constituents.

As state lawmakers meet through August to hear constituents' property tax concerns and examine further reforms, it is crucial for Missouri’s special districts to understand the policy environment and potentially broad community impacts. Join fellow special district leaders for continued networking and advocacy over state property tax reform efforts, as well as broader governance and policy concerns impacting districts' community services.
